[ YOUR RAIN ] volume 1, sequence 4
a zihark-centric yumejoshi doujinshi two-parter that i'm currently drawing. ^^. radiant dawn divergence.

pairing: #zihark x bright eyes (oc)
tags: canon divergent, messy grief, angst, complicated slow burn, boss/bodyguard, unspoken , one-sided pining, emotional constipation (both)

summary
The first few weeks uncovering Daein's old skeletons as its new scribe and records-keeper went quetly. professionally. without note -- aided by Zihark as a hired bodyguard -- until one night when some of his own skeletons make an introduction.

anyway :D !!!! it's heeeeere, the revised zihark doujinshi i've been madly working across this summer while suffering from inflammation flares and colds.... of course i finish the most fucked up /contextually complicated strip the FIRST lmao. trivia: i think the most gutwrenching panel for me is that last one on the third page proper (not counting the ao3 landing page) if you uh. know of some headcanons i have of him it's. yeah. it's a lot. this will make more sense in the context of the whole thing don't worry ~COLLAPSE

this is the final post of my FOWeddingBingo fills, please see KD's mutual bingo works here and comment on them!~

my fills (not including this one): CBT / free space sex pollen / kink exploration

older be!zi has the vibe of that one questionably straightish(??) long term married couple who visits the local bdsm club once a blue moon with batshit solo scenes :p

however alfonse & co learn very quickly bright eyes sometimes required a handler to avoid going.... off script. ( #fegen )

FOWeddingBingo fill [ CBT ]
feat: #zihark , nsfw under the cut

anyway i had a lot of fun thinking about 'executioner as a visual kink concept' as well as zi with his (slightly) newly awakened thing for CBT. read a lovely book by a leatherman called 'family jewels' that was a delight and not a bad intro to such things. highly recommended. COLLAPSE

reworked the #fetellius #zihark doujin because i was compromising too much on story. apologies for the delay; far happier with it now, though.

working on a particularly brutal conversation with micaiah in ashera's tower; here's a preview. :)

directly inspired by the amazing "Settlers of Talrega" fic ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/762124... ); the above author does that cast every bit of haunting justice it deserves and then some, and features quite a few characters from the #fetellius cast we love ~

「 #fetellius oc & bonus bright eyes x #zihark C-A supports under the cut 」

Bright Eyes
A mage that helps Tauroneo in Daein's reconstruction. In Izuka's disappearance, the only replacement that Almedha did not immediately dismiss. Among other scribe duties, she investigates Ashnard's and Begnion's war crimes.

   C Support (Unlocked in 1-E)

BE: Zihark! it's been one thing after another after releasing all of those prisoners. I never got a chance to thank you for spotting that archer. My lights woulda been out!
Zihark: Anytime. Say, how's being a scribe for His Majesty working out?
BE: It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for Izuka. How you put up with all of them back in the desert, I have no idea.
Zihark: it was an experience. A very mercifully brief experience.
BE: I bet. Though compared to that creep, dealing with Pelleas is a cakewalk; he's just a kid.
BE: … Er, don't tell them i said that about His Majesty.
Zihark: My lips are sealed. Truth be told, I imagine working with Lady Almedha is a similar workout in patience.
BE: Ha! You can say that again.
Zihark: … was that my line you just stole? Good heavens.
[end]

B Support (Unlocked in 3-6 "A Reason to Fight")

Zihark: …
BE: Ah, there you are. Was looking for you everywhere.
Zihark: Oh, hello. Is it about your work with Tauroneo? I believe he had you checking Begnion records.
BE: Oh that, it's a mess after Izuka disappeared; we're still findin' papers missing, and there was so much of Ashnard's crimes against laguz we have yet to uncover.
Zihark: I remember, the two of us were sent to several of the Mad King's fortresses to dig out some evidence before the reconstruction damaged them. Hopefully those books were useful to you.
BE: They sure seemed promising, but that was put on hold with - well. Micaiah's orders.
Zihark: …
Zihark: You were looking for me?
BE: Right. … I'll make this quick. I have a strange ask for you.
Zihark: Yes?
BE: Here are records that may be of interest to you that i discovered in one of those archives. Don't open them now - do it later in private. All other similar records have been destroyed for safety with what's happening now.
BE: … You'll see. I'm sorry. It's a disgrace this is all happening…
[she leaves]
Zihark: …
[end]

A Support (unlocked in 4-2 "Silent World", 4-5 "Unforgivable Sin", or 4-E)

Zihark: Who knew we'd end up in the same army again after everything.
BE: Oh! It's nice to see an old familiar face. Too much has changed. That said Lady Almedha's still herself. Somehow it's reassuring to see that at least -
Zihark: … thank you.
BE: What?
Zihark: … for not mentioning … what you found about me back then.
BE: Ah.
Zihark: I-
BE: If you don't want to share, you don't need to. Only when you're ready.
Zihark: …
BE: …
Zihark: Still, i owe you one. Say, would a dinner with a friend for old time's sake be so bad? Something to look forward to after we put things right, at least.
BE: … my thanks to you. Yes, I would love that.
